New Beginning
The Earth as we knew it is no more, cataclysms like earthquakes, floods, fires, hurricanes, wars destroyed all the governments and killed most population, most satellites fell into atmosphere and burned. There is a blue orb orbiting the moon at night, no one knows what it is. Some people have powers now that used to be called magic.
You’re a bunch of crazy, young people that don’t know The World Before The End, you travel from town to town on the North USA Black Wasteland ruins looking for jobs, your hometown is Scrap, placed in an old junkyard, leaded and guarded by a master in robotics: Sid. His robots defend the town and provide services in it. You’re:
Trax:
Beginner pyromancer: Can start fire of an object by touching it. Carries a Glock 9mm. In future he’ll be able to throw fireballs or start walls of fire. Very charismatic, handsome guy, leader of the group. Very good speaker. Knows English and Russian.
Senpai:
Gun freak. He might be only twenty two however his hair are gray. He tries to be a master in firearms. Carries a Magnum 44, he has a car and a Remington sniper rifle in the back trunk. Knows the most about guns among the group. OK mechanic.
Zip:
A young thief. Short guy, 165cm tall, always carries a lock picking tools and a robotic rope with a hook which he is very good with, also carries a 9mm Glock in case his agility fails. Climbs and swims well.
Siegfried:
Knife and sword maniac. Carries a katana, throws knives, sometimes cuts his own skin for fun when he’s bored. Very fast runner that can jump far. Practices parkour. Silent killer. Catholic. Black.
They are near to be broke, they have only 24 tix altogether.
Sid (me) sometimes provides help by lending his robots for a fair amount of Tix.
He offers a humanoid, armored, punching humanoid robot fro lend for 20 tix, a small, wheeled scout robot for 20 tix + 20tix if armed with a c4 bomb it can plant or detonate and a track based cargo robot for 20 tix. If a robot wont be returned that’s extra 20 tix penalty.
The main town store offers few 9mm guns, 9mm ammo, gas masks, wound healing injections, antibiotics, military grade food, fuel, noctovision googles, batteries, flares.
One day there is a guest showing up in Scrap looking for people that will get him to the Rubber Forest. Rubber forest is one of the places on this wasteland considered dangerous, some sketchy people go into it for unknown reasons, some people that went there never came back, some came back wounded or robbed, some were fine but everyone says it’s not a good spot.
The guy says his name is Ernie, he’s a long haired 52 years old white man, and he needs an escort to get there and talk to someone, it’s really important but he can’t tell more. He offers 100 tix for the job. This would fix your financial needs for a week or two. He rides a rusty Harley Davidson and carries a shotgun.
Ernie needs to talk to the leader of the Wasteland Devils, a gang controlling that part of The Black Wasteland. He has a serious message. Earnie is an advanced user of telepathy and kinetic forces. He can far see, receive and send messages in mind on medium distances and move medium objects with kinetic powers. However Rubber Forest is way too dangerous to go alone.
Road to Rubber Forest
The road to the Rubber Forest is a day long ride in a car through Black Rock desert. Very little plants grow around here. Team has to get fuel from the Junkyard and pay for it. It’s 0.1 Tix per liter. On their way to the Junkyard they encounter a smoking car wreck on the road. Two burned corpses inside. Seems like a Russian UFO activity, the car looks like destroyed by a laser cannon. They better be careful for the aircrafts around. They also pass by The Black Skull Lake, there is a small woods nearby and the water isn’t contaminated much, some fish still swim, few rabbits wander around the woods, they can be eaten. There are few abandoned boats with broken engines at the shore. They can be repaired and fueled. On the center of the lake they can find a small island with a crashed old helicopter wreck where they can find an abandoned bag containing 43 tix and a SIG Sauer 9mm gun with a full magazine; the gun requires cleaning.
There is a single water mutant sleeping on the island, he’s harmless and frightened on the land, he will try running and splashing into the water when he see them, but, if they manage to give him a fish he will hand them a gold nugget, worthless in this times. Seems the area is gold rich. He’s an excellent swimmer and can drag people to the bottom of the lake in the waters if they decide to swim a bit. All he can say is „Greg”, apparently his name.
Around this time a sudden fog comes. It’s a little toxic, causes coughing. The team will see can see a car approaching with one light working. People who ride it are three armed Wasteland Devils.
Outside their hideout they are hostile, armed robbers. That’s how they supply the Rubber Forest. They all wear read leather jackets and blue jeans. One of them wears kevlar. They might decide to attack the team if they consider they have advantage. If they think otherwise or start loosing combat, they will try escaping back to the Rubber Forest in their car. If they manage to escape they might make more gangsters come and rob the team. The fog will remain till the end of the day and during night.
The Rubber Forest
Basically it’s a large old tire waste disposal. When I mean large I mean gigantic. No one knows where it comes from. When team comes there is still fog around. Wasteland Devils live inside, between piles of rubber. The main entrance where the road ends is being observed with CCTV hidden in piles of rubber. Ernie can sense that with his far seeing. Wasteland Devils know this area very well, people that enter it are constantly watched and tracked. They will attack only if players get into one of their traps, however they will first speak before they attack, they will try to find out who they’re dealing with and what are they up to. The area is large but there is only below thirty people living in it. Lots of crows around. They most likely, eventually will be caught into a trap, disarmed and taken into custody then brought to the center of Rubber Forest. To the boss.
The Wasteland Devil
The place is made of several buildings made of sheet metal built around a camp fire where two women seem cooking a soup. They can here chickens crackling, pigs grunting and few dogs barking. The Devils say "you’ll end up here!” and point at several cages on stakes next to the fire, there is a human locked in one of the cages, seems sleeping. Then they throw them into the cages. It’s early night. Zip is able to open the cage when no one watches him. Trax can convince the women to talk with him. Earnie keeps on saying he wants to talk to the boss and he has a message to the boss. When the other prisoner wakes up it turns out he speak only Russian, Trax is able to talk with him. His name is Vanya, he says he’s a pilot of an aircraft that crashed, he tried getting help here but got into custody, they don’t want to let him out, he’s here for weeks already. He says that the boss is not a human and creeps him out. That brings gloomy mood to the rest of the team. If they talk in cages too much the guards will turn electricity on and the cages will shock them with electricity.
On the morning every Devil gathers before the largest building in town in a row. The boss comes out from the building. He’s a short humanoid with a really big head, moves slowly, his skin is grey, eyes large, fingers long. There are several glowing objects levitating around his large head. He puts a mask on, turns out to be a communication device. Earnie instantly yells: „A13C! Zenith want you back!”. The alien freezes for thirty seconds. Through his communication device he says „let them out but don’t give their equipment back”. Then he quickly gets back to the building of his.

The only remaining space station. Tricky place to get in, very little people know how, no one that wasn’t there know what's in it. But every one knows it’s there, that’s large white light moving through the night sky. They say it’s the last hope for humanity but that’s only one of the legends. Apparently A13C and Earnie know more.
